You know what caught me off guard about Square 44 Apartment? The name had me expecting some generic corporate housing situation, but honestly, this place has way more personality than most 3-star spots I’ve stayed at. That 9.1 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen – you can actually feel why people keep coming back here.

The apartment setup is what really makes the difference. I mean, sure, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or a concierge in a fancy uniform, but there’s something refreshing about having actual space to spread out. The kitchen isn’t just for show either – I actually ended up cooking a few meals, which saved me a fortune and felt way more relaxed than eating out every night. The living area has this lived-in comfort that hotel rooms never quite manage, probably because the furniture isn’t bolted down and the decor doesn’t scream “hospitality supply catalog.” Small thing, but the windows actually open properly, which is rarer than it should be these days.

What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night – honestly didn’t expect that given the urban location. The building seems well-insulated, or maybe I just got lucky with my neighbors. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward hovering around a front desk while they upsell you on room upgrades you don’t need. The whole experience feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in commercial accommodation, if that makes sense. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t, which I actually found pretty appealing. For the price point, you’re getting solid value and genuine comfort without the pretense – sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  nice and helpful host, check in and get key very smooth and well commuicate. The apartment is cozy and well-equipped. Everything to us is good.

  Das Apartment liegt mitten in Budvas Altstadt und man blickt vom Fenster aus auf den Platz vor der Kirche. Man ist direkt in der Stadt und nur ein paar Schritte vom Meer entfernt. Das Apartment ist sauber, sehr geräumig und schön eingerichtet – mit allen Küchenutensilien, die man braucht. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und wir waren froh, dass die Tochter der Gastgeberin uns auch bei später Anreise sehr freundlich empfangen hat.
  
  What could be improved: Leider wurde für die Schlüsselübergabe ein Café angegeben, das nur im Sommer geöffnet hat, daher gestaltete sich die Schlüsselübergabe etwas holprig.

  A localização é excepcional. No meio de Old Town. Perto de tudo.
  O apartamento é muito bonito e bem equipado. Espaço suficiente.
  A responsável por nos entregar as chaves, Vesna, foi rápida e prestativa.
  
  What could be improved: Apesar de ser normal na localização escolhida, subir escadas incomoda um pouco.
  Não havia na descrito sobre um adicional de 10% no pagamento com cartão. Achei um abuso.
