Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Stefan Apartments” I wasn’t expecting much, but this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into one of those quieter corners of Budva where you can still hear the Adriatic lapping against the shore, but you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of the main tourist drag. You know what I mean – close enough to walk to everything that matters, but far enough that you’re not listening to drunk British tourists singing football chants at 3 AM.

The thing about Stefan’s place is that it feels… well, it feels like someone actually cares about it. The apartments aren’t fancy – we’re talking 3-star territory here – but everything works properly, which honestly is more than I can say for some of the flashier spots I’ve stayed at along the coast. The owner (I’m assuming that’s Stefan) clearly knows what travelers actually need. Proper WiFi that doesn’t cut out when everyone’s trying to upload their sunset photos, air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure is actually decent. You’d be amazed how many places in Montenegro seem to think a gentle mist counts as a shower.

What really sold me though was the whole vibe of the neighborhood. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from Slovenska Plaza, which is perfect because you can hit the beach during the day but escape back to somewhere that feels more… I don’t know, more real? There’s this little bakery around the corner where the locals actually go – not the tourist traps with the English menus and inflated prices. And parking – God, parking in Budva can be a nightmare – but Stefan’s got that sorted too. It’s those little things that make you realize someone who runs this place actually understands what it’s like to travel. The rating speaks for itself really – you don’t get a perfect 10 by accident. That comes from guests who expected one thing and got something better, which is exactly what happened to me. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to someone who wants to experience Budva without all the package-tour nonsense? Even more absolutely.
