Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Stone & Sea on Vuka Karadžića, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This little hotel sits right in the heart of Budva’s Old Town, and I mean *right* in it – you’re literally steps away from those ancient stone walls that everyone comes to see, but tucked just enough off the main drag that you won’t have tour groups trampling past your window at 7 AM.
The thing about staying inside the Old Town (and trust me, this matters) is that you get to experience it when all the day-trippers have gone back to their resort hotels. Early morning coffee runs to that little bakery around the corner, evening strolls when the cobblestones aren’t packed shoulder-to-shoulder – it’s actually magical. Stone & Sea gets this location thing right in a way that a lot of fancier places miss. The staff here are locals who genuinely seem to care about the place, not just going through the motions. When I asked about parking – because let’s face it, driving in Old Town Budva is basically a nightmare – they didn’t just shrug and point vaguely toward the street. They walked me to the nearest decent spot and explained the whole system with those blue zone parking tickets.
The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works. I mean, the shower actually has decent water pressure (you’d be surprised how rare that is in some of these historic buildings), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine. What really won me over though was the attention to small details – good reading lights, enough outlets for your devices, and windows that actually block out noise when you want to sleep. During high season in July and August, you’ll definitely hear some street activity, but honestly, that’s part of the Old Town experience. If you want complete silence, book one of those massive resort complexes on the outskirts – but then you’ll miss out on stumbling home from Casper Bar after trying way too much local rakija. The 8.5 rating this place has earned makes complete sense once you factor in the location premium and the fact that the staff actually seems invested in making sure you have a good time. It’s not luxury, but it’s authentic Budva in the best possible way.

Reviews
Very Good – Ana from Spain – August 5, 2025 (8/10)
Esta muy bien ubicado, lo malo es el aparcamiento y en nuestro caso la tapadera del bater estaba rota y no se puedo arreglar. Por el resto bien.
Wonderful – Anonymous from China – August 7, 2025 (9/10)
Vynikající lokalita! Balkon, příjemný byt uprostřed starého města.
What could be improved: V noci trochu hluk. Společné prostory domu.
