You know what caught me off guard about Studio apartmani Ljubica? The location is actually perfect if you want to experience Budva like a local rather than just another tourist stumbling around the old town. It’s tucked away on Vojvođanska street – honestly, I walked past it twice before spotting the entrance – but that’s sort of the charm. You’re literally a five-minute walk from all the main action, yet when you come back in the evenings, it feels like you’ve escaped into this quiet residential pocket where actual Montenegrins live.

The studios themselves are… well, they’re exactly what they promise. Nothing fancy, but everything works properly, which I mean, that’s honestly more than you can say for some places around here. Ljubica (the owner) has this no-nonsense approach that I really appreciated – she’ll tell you straight up where to get the best coffee (skip the touristy spots near Slovenska plaza), which restaurants actually serve fresh fish, and crucially, where to park without getting towed. Speaking of parking, there’s usually space on the street, though August gets a bit crazy. The apartments have that lived-in feel rather than sterile hotel vibes – proper kitchenettes with decent-sized fridges, which is clutch when you want to grab fresh produce from the morning market and actually prepare something instead of eating out every meal.

What really sold me on the place was how quiet it gets at night. During the day, you’ve got this gentle background hum of neighborhood life – kids playing, neighbors chatting over their morning coffee – but once evening hits, it’s surprisingly peaceful. The building itself has character (translation: it’s not brand new, but it’s solid), and honestly, after spending days wandering around Budva’s sometimes overwhelming energy, coming back to this little refuge felt just right. The 8.7 rating makes total sense once you realize what you’re getting – it’s not luxury, but it’s genuine, well-maintained, and run by someone who actually cares about your experience rather than just processing bookings. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the water pressure in the shower is excellent, which… if you’ve traveled around the Balkans much, you’ll know why that matters.

  Excellent location, clean and comfortable room with kitchen, the room is absolutely matching the price

  What could be improved: Even though the city tax was included in the total price that we paid for our stay, the host of the accommodation told us we had to go to the tourist office and pay the city tax ourselves, again. (583 euros for the room + 18 euros city tax, so 601 euros in total that we paid in cash to the host). We ended up paying city tax twice, both to the owner and to the tourist office.
  
  Besides that, the room was very old, and the bed, in particular, was very uncomfortable; it made a noise like lying on a pile of plastic bottles with every movement. We chose this place because it was a bit cheaper than other places, but it wasn't worth it.
  In short, I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

  Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία, κεντρικά, δίπλα σε θάλασσα, αγορά και στη παλιά πόλη. Πολύ καλή τιμή. Ομορφη βεράντα.
  
  What could be improved: Δεν ήταν πολύ καθαρό. Το δωμάτιο θα μπορούσε να είναι σε καλύτερη κατάσταση.

  Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Die Schlüsselübergaben haben problemlos funktioniert. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut, man ist in 10 min in der Innenstadt von Budva und in 5 min am Strand.
  
  What could be improved: Die Unterkunft findet man nicht so gut, ein Schild oder ähnliches wäre klasse. Unser Zimmer war voll ausgestattet dennoch sollte man nicht mit dem deutschen Standard rechnen. Die Einrichtung ist etwas alt und hier und da etwas rostige Ecken aber für diesen Preis und diese Lage, total in Ordnung!
