Walking up to the building, you’re literally a two-minute stroll from the Old Town walls, which means you can actually hear the evening buzz from Slovenska Plaza without being right in the thick of tourist chaos. I mean, during peak summer months you’ll definitely catch some street noise, but it dies down after midnight when the restaurant crowds thin out. The studio itself feels bigger than you’d expect – whoever designed it actually thought about how real people live, not just how to cram in furniture. There’s this decent little kitchenette where you can make proper coffee (thank god, because Montenegrin hotel coffee can be… well, let’s just say it’s an acquired taste), and the bed setup doesn’t make you feel like you’re sleeping in a closet. The bathroom’s compact but functional, with water pressure that’s honestly better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at along the coast.

What really sold me on this spot was how it sits in relation to everything else. You know that sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to Mogren Beach in about eight minutes, but far enough from the main pedestrian drag that you’re not dealing with groups of people chatting outside your window at 2 AM? That’s exactly where this is. Plus – and this is something you only figure out after a day or two – you’re positioned perfectly for morning runs along the coastal path before the sun gets brutal. The host was pretty straightforward during check-in, no overly enthusiastic tourism spiel, just handed over the keys and gave me the WiFi password. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me because it delivers on what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, well-located studio that gives you a genuine feel for how Budva works as a place where people actually live, not just visit. If you’re the type who wants to duck into local bakeries for burek in the morning and explore the fortress walls at sunset without feeling like you’re commuting to your real life, this works perfectly.

  Comfortable flat in the centre of Budva, 5 minutes walk from the beach. A/c was good, the apartment stayed nice and cool in the heat.
  Apartment was easy to find, hosts were very friendly and check in and out was easy.
