Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Studio Apartments Marea 2,” I was expecting something pretty basic. You know how these apartment-style places can be hit or miss. But honestly? This little spot completely surprised me, and that 9.1 rating actually makes sense once you’ve stayed there.

The thing about Marea 2 is that it gets the fundamentals so right that you almost forget it’s technically just a 3-star place. I mean, sure, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or a concierge, but what you are getting is this perfectly thought-out studio setup that actually feels like someone designed it for real people, not just tourists passing through. The kitchenette – and I use that term loosely because it’s more functional than most full kitchens I’ve seen in vacation rentals – has everything you’d actually need. Good coffee maker (thank god), decent-sized fridge, and counter space that doesn’t make you feel like you’re doing surgery every time you try to make breakfast. The bed situation is solid too, though I’d say if you’re over six feet tall, maybe check the specifics first.

What really won me over was how quiet it stays, even during what I’m guessing are the busier months. There’s something about the way the building’s positioned – or maybe it’s just good soundproofing – but you’re not dealing with hallway noise or street sounds keeping you up. The whole vibe is just… well, it’s more like staying in a friend’s well-organized apartment than a typical hotel room. Staff seems to really know their stuff too, which isn’t always a given with these smaller places. Check-in was smooth, they had actual helpful suggestions about the area (not just the usual tourist trap recommendations), and when I had a minor issue with the AC remote, someone was up within like ten minutes. Actually caring about guest experience – imagine that. I’d definitely come back here, especially since the value is pretty incredible for what you’re getting. It’s one of those places where you realize that sometimes the best travel experiences come from spots that just focus on doing the basics really, really well.

The concierge service in Budva can arrange exclusive boat tours, secure reservations at seaside restaurants, and organize visits to nearby Sveti Stefan and Kotor Bay.

  The hosts were very nice and welcoming. The apartment was close to the beach, night open market, restaurants, bakery, etc. The apartment was clean and had good wifi. 10/10 apartment, would recommend.

  The location is good, and the beach is only 10 minutes away. There are shops, bakeries, and restaurants nearby. The apartment had a terrace, so it was a big bonus for us. AC is working perfectly, and the apartment itself looks new.
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen is super small, and there are no proper knives to cut vegetables and fruits and no peeler. Everything gets frozen in the fridge. If you are planning to eat at home instead of going out, it will be very difficult. We couldn't find trash bins outside the apartment, so we had to live with two bags of trash until the end of our stay.

  The room was new and clean. It is in a good location, close to the centre but quiet. There are shops and restaurant nearby. They changed the towels once, after 3 days and gave us extra toilet paper. There is a hairdryer, a tv and an iron too in the room.
  
  What could be improved: The bed was too soft, we had to move to the couch after 2 nights because our back hurt. We couldn't find the building first, becuase it isn't next to the road and there are no signs showing it.

  very nice view from the window, the room was clean, towels were changed and they smelled nice. All electronic devices worked well and also the apartment is not far from the sea, there are shops nearby.
  
  What could be improved: there is no washing machine and a large refrigerator, the kitchen is quite small, but performs basic functions
