You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Sun Apartments Marija when I first booked it – I mean, three stars usually means “fine but forgettable,” right? But honestly, this place completely surprised me. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lobby has that lived-in comfort of a family-run place, not the sterile perfection of a chain hotel. And the staff – they remember your name after one conversation, which is honestly refreshing when you’ve been bouncing between impersonal hotels all trip.

What really won me over was how the apartments are set up. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. I’m talking about actual kitchens where you can cook a proper meal (and trust me, after weeks of restaurant food, being able to make scrambled eggs at 7 AM felt like luxury). The balconies are where you’ll probably end up spending your mornings – there’s something about the way the light hits in the early hours that makes even checking emails feel pleasant. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere, which might sound basic but you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong. Parking was never an issue either, though I’d definitely recommend asking about it when you book during summer months since things can get tight.

Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me – the 9.4 rating isn’t just some inflated number. You can feel why people keep coming back. It’s in the way housekeeping leaves those little touches (fresh towels that actually smell clean, not just “hotel clean”), and how the front desk genuinely wants to help you figure out the best route to wherever you’re headed. I mean, sure, it’s not going to blow you away with marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but sometimes what you really want is a place that just works – where the shower has good pressure, the bed doesn’t creak, and you’re not constantly fighting with key cards that don’t work. The neighborhood itself has this authentic feel too, away from the tourist crush but close enough that you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere. I actually found myself looking forward to coming back each evening, which doesn’t happen often when you’re traveling for work like I was.

  Гарні просторі апартаменти. Неймовірна тераса, де можна було випити кави. Власниця дуже привітна, допомагала з усіма нашими запитами. Також персонал доступний дуже оперативно. У нас не було теплої води, бо ми випадково виключили бойлер. Вже за декілька хвилин персонал був у нас і все показав.
  Ксеня надала місце для авто у підземному паркінгу, що дуже полегшило нам перебування.
  Поруч є чудова пекарня, а також декілька ресторанів зі смачною кухнею.

  Although the apartments are in a heavily populated part of the city, it was very quiet and we could not hear the road at all. The hostess of these apartments is a wonderful person. We were very satisfied with our vacation.

  We had a great experience staying at Sun Apartments Marija. It was very well cleaned before our arrival. The balcony view was exceptional. The owner and the team were very helpful and welcoming. The apartment is centrally located, although the area is really quiet. We could easily walk to the nearby beaches and to the old town. It is also about 10 min walking distance from the bus station from where you can get tickets to all the major cities of Montenegro. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

  What could be improved: This is the worst apartment I've been to, unfortunately( the bed was big, but matrass shaked, the smell in bathroom was horrible, also there were a lot oh huge spiders which I had to kill. The window was small and the room was dark. There were no shampoos, shower gels, etc

  The property is as very clean and spacious, the balcony was lovely with great views. Host was friendly attentive and welcoming.

  Convenient location: everything is within walking distance. We chose the apartment because of the balcony and proximity to the bus station.
  The apartment was clean.
  The owner was helpful and friendly. Our request for a complimentary early check-in was granted. During our stay, she was always in touch with us. In addition, I am grateful to Radmila for her help in printing bus tickets.
  
  What could be improved: A short bathroom curtain. Therefore, water falls on the floor while taking a shower.
  No toiletries. However, Radmila was very kind in offering her own shampoo.

  Nice stay near city center. In 5 minutes of walk you will be on the beach. Also sport court is in walking vicinity.
