Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address for Sunny City Centre Suite, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s tucked inside this CMM Investment building on the third floor, which sounds way more corporate than cozy, right? But actually, this turned out to be one of those hidden gems that locals probably walk past every day without realizing there’s this perfectly decent accommodation right there in the heart of Budva.
The thing about staying here is you’re literally in the thick of everything – I mean, you step outside and you’re already where you want to be. None of that tourist shuttle nonsense or trying to figure out bus schedules. The old town walls are basically around the corner, and honestly, you can hear the buzz from the main pedestrian area even with the windows closed (though it’s not obnoxiously loud, just that gentle hum of people having a good time). What really struck me was how the suite itself feels like someone’s actual apartment rather than a sterile hotel room. The kitchen setup is proper – not just some mini-fridge and microwave situation – so you can actually grab fresh stuff from the morning market near Slovenska Plaža and cook breakfast without feeling cramped. The whole space has this lived-in quality that somehow makes a three-star place feel more comfortable than some fancy hotels I’ve stayed at.
You know what surprised me most? The attention to details that actually matter when you’re traveling. There’s decent water pressure in the shower (trust me, this is not a given in older Montenegrin buildings), the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and – this might sound weird but it matters – the bed doesn’t squeak when you move around at night. Plus, being on the third floor means you get some nice glimpses of the surrounding area without street-level noise keeping you up. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal front desk drama. During summer months it gets pretty busy around here – Budva transforms into this bustling seaside carnival – but the suite stays surprisingly peaceful. I’d definitely recommend this place, especially if you’re the type who likes to feel connected to where you’re staying rather than isolated in some resort bubble. It’s got character without trying too hard, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
