You know what caught me off guard about Sunny Side Wellness Resort & Spa? The name actually fits – I was expecting some cheesy marketing nonsense, but this place genuinely has this warm, optimistic vibe that hits you the moment you walk into the lobby. The 4-star rating feels about right, honestly – it’s polished without being stuffy, and that 7.9 guest rating makes sense once you spend a night or two here.

The wellness angle isn’t just thrown around for show either. I mean, sure, every hotel these days claims to be about “wellness,” but here you can actually feel it in how they’ve designed the space. The spa treatments are solid (I tried their signature massage and didn’t regret it), and they’ve got this meditation garden that’s surprisingly peaceful – even when the place is busy, which it tends to be on weekends. The rooms have this clean, uncluttered feel that actually helps you unwind, though I’ll be honest, the bathroom could use a small upgrade. Nothing major, just some of the fixtures feel a bit dated for a place charging these rates.

What really won me over was the staff’s approach – they’re attentive without hovering, you know? Check-in was smooth, and when I mentioned I was there for some R&R after a stressful work period, they actually remembered and asked how I was feeling the next day. Small thing, but it mattered. The food situation is pretty good too, though don’t expect gourmet dining. Their breakfast spread hits all the right notes (decent coffee, fresh fruit, and they do this quinoa bowl thing that’s actually tasty), and room service arrives faster than expected. Parking’s easy and free, which honestly surprised me given how nice the property is. If you’re planning to visit, I’d avoid the peak summer months if you want to really enjoy the spa facilities – it gets crowded and booking treatments becomes a bit of a hassle. But shoulder season? Perfect timing. The whole place feels like it’s designed for people who want to reset without dealing with overly precious spa culture or paying resort prices for basic services.

  The room was perfect and a great size, the bathroom was nice & modern, it came with a washing machine which was ideal. The pool area was great.
  
  What could be improved: It was very far away from Budva old town and actually in an area called Bečići. The hill that it’s on is extreme, so is only an ideal apartment if you don’t plan to leave it often.

  Excellent accommodation with large and clean rooms. The view from the living room was beautiful. You have everything you need in the accommodation.

  The apartments were clean. Furniture was new and practical. The pool was exceptional. Beds were comfortable and the apartment was quite big. There is a small balcony as well. IKEA furniture and finishings.
  
  What could be improved: The design inside the apartment is a bit mismatched. I feel like the design elements could match bit better but it is clean and functional. The kettle had terrible limescale to the point where I’d rather boil water in a pot. The ocean view was quite mediocre as there is some construction in the area. The walk up the hill is not fun in the hot sun.

  The apartment was sparkling clean and cosy. The view to the sea was nice and there was all the equipment needed.
  
  What could be improved: Even though it was mentioned in the house rules that they don't accept cash payment, we had to pay in cash since they did not accept credit cards. The bed was a bit cracky.

  We rented a studio room, which was quite small but still pretty good value for money. The location of the property was pretty far from old town Budva, but for us this was a good thing since the city center is very crowded. The property is close to some good beaches though, and easily accesible by car. The pool was clean and had a nice view. The property also has a nice gym.
  
  What could be improved: The staff did not speak conversational english, but they were very friendly nonetheless.
