You know what caught me off guard about Sunny Villa Violet? The location is actually perfect – and I mean that in a way that’ll make sense once you’ve driven the winding roads around Budva. It’s tucked up in Rezevici’s Gornji katun area, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is. You’re about 10 minutes from the coastal madness of Budva, but far enough up the hillside that you get these sweeping views of the Adriatic without the constant hum of scooters and beach bars.

The drive up is sort of an adventure itself – narrow mountain roads that’ll have you second-guessing your rental car choice, but then you pull up to this villa and it just clicks. The owners clearly get that travelers want something that feels authentically Montenegrin without sacrificing comfort. The rooms have this lived-in elegance, you know? Not sterile hotel perfect, but thoughtfully designed with local touches that actually mean something. I’m talking handwoven textiles and regional artwork, not mass-produced “Mediterranean style” nonsense. The terrace situation is where they really nail it though – there’s this spot where you can have your morning coffee while watching the morning light hit the water, and honestly, it’s the kind of view that makes you understand why people fall in love with this coastline. The breakfast spread leans heavily into local ingredients (try the cheese from nearby farms if they’re serving it), and the staff genuinely seems to enjoy sharing recommendations for beaches the tour buses haven’t discovered yet.

What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that travel websites never mention. Parking is actually manageable – crucial when you’re dealing with Montenegro’s mountain roads and limited street parking. The Wi-Fi works reliably (I was working remotely part of the time), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, which matters more than you’d think during those sticky July nights. The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but everything works the way it should, and the attention to detail shows. That 9 rating makes sense too; I met other guests who were repeat visitors, which tells you something. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re not comfortable driving mountain roads, you’ll want to factor in taxi costs to get down to the main Budva attractions. But honestly, after a couple days, I started to see that slight separation as a feature, not a bug – you get the best of both worlds without the tourist crowd chaos.

  Very well planned, out of the city, separate villas with their own pool for personal use. Spacious 3 bedrooms with separate bathrooms, big living room, terrace with pool, sea view. Great for weekend get-away or longer stay, some great beaches nearby (with car). Quite and spacious.
  
  What could be improved: Not so clean, we found ants in the kitchen, not so new furniture. With some small efforts and investments it can be much better. Daily cleaning service can be introduced.

  הדירה והחוץ יפים. מרווחים. מיטות נוחות. מיקום קרוב לחופים אך לא קו ראשון למים. חייב רכב .
  
  What could be improved: כשביצענו את ההזמנה בבוקינג, ההזמנה היתה אמורה להיות משולמת בכרטיס אשראי. כשהגענו דרשו את הסכום במזומן, בעקבות זאת בעלת הדירה ניהלה איתנו, התכתבויות מאוד לא נעימות ודיי הרסה לנו את היום.
  לא היה לנו מים חמים . מתוך 4 מקלחות יכולנו להשתמש רק במקלחת אחת.
  המקום לא מתוחזק טוב, הבריכה לא נקיה, המקלחות עם עובש. המטבח לא נקי.
  פעם ראשונה שאני מגיע לדירה והבקורות הקודמות לא תואמות את הדירה.
  התשלום לא תואם את מה שמקבלים.
