You know what struck me first about Sunrise Apartments Becici?
You know what struck me first about Sunrise Apartments Becici? It’s actually positioned perfectly on that quieter stretch of Boreti street – close enough to hear the Adriatic but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the beachfront chaos that can get pretty intense during July and August. I mean, Budva proper gets absolutely packed, but Becici has this more laid-back vibe that honestly feels more authentic.
The apartments themselves are solid three-star territory, nothing fancy but everything works the way it should. What I really appreciated was how the owners clearly get what travelers actually need – the Wi-Fi is reliable (tested it on multiple video calls), there’s proper blackout curtains for those morning-after-exploring-Kotor situations, and the kitchenettes are actually functional, not just for show. The balconies face different directions depending on which unit you get, but even the ones without direct sea views catch these gorgeous glimpses of the water between the buildings. And honestly, waking up to that Mediterranean light filtering in… it just hits different than hotel rooms back home.
Location-wise, this is where local knowledge really pays off. You’re about a seven-minute walk to Becici beach – which, between you and me, has way better swimming than the crowded stretches closer to Budva’s old town. There’s this little bakery called Pekara (I think?) maybe two blocks down that does these cheese burek things that became my breakfast obsession. For groceries, there’s a Voli market within easy walking distance, which is clutch if you’re planning to cook some meals and save money for those waterfront dinners. The bus connections to Budva are frequent and cheap – maybe 15 minutes door-to-door – so you can easily explore the medieval walls and nightlife without dealing with parking nightmares or expensive taxis back late at night.
What really sets this place apart is the attention to those details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, parking is included (huge win in this area), and the cleaning was thorough without that overwhelming chemical smell some places have. I did notice the walls are a bit thin – you might hear your neighbors if they’re early risers or night owls – but nothing deal-breaking. The whole setup just feels like someone thought through what travelers actually experience rather than what looks good in photos.
Hotel in Budva booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally popular music festivals and beach parties.
