You know what caught me off guard about Sunset & Sunrise Villas? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – I mean, usually these villa names are just marketing fluff, but you really can catch both sunrise and sunset views depending on which terrace you’re hanging out on. The property sits in Stanisici with this perfect positioning that lets you watch the day bookend itself, which honestly became my favorite part of staying there.

The setup is pretty clever – two separate villas sharing this gorgeous common pool area that becomes the natural heart of the place. I was worried it might feel awkward sharing space with other guests, but the layout gives everyone enough privacy while still having that social pool vibe when you want it. The pool itself is actually substantial, not one of those tiny plunge pools you sometimes get stuck with at villa rentals. Water stays clean, plenty of loungers, and there’s this covered area where I’d camp out during the afternoon heat with my book. The villas themselves feel authentically local but with all the modern touches you need – good WiFi (tested it extensively while working from the terrace), solid air conditioning, and kitchens that are actually equipped for real cooking if you hit up the local markets.

What really sells this place though is how it sits in Stanisici – you’re close enough to everything but removed from the tourist chaos. I could walk to some excellent local spots that my Uber driver actually recommended (shoutout to Marko who knew all the best places), and parking was never the nightmare it can be in more central locations. The 9.5 rating isn’t inflated either – check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and when I had a minor issue with the outdoor shower, someone came by within an hour to sort it out. Sure, it’s not a five-star resort with a concierge, but for the price point and the genuine local feel, it delivers exactly what it promises. The kind of place where you actually end up extending your stay because leaving feels premature, you know?
