You know what caught me off guard about Swiss Holiday? Walking up to this place on Ivan Goran Kovačić street, I was expecting another generic beachside hotel – but there’s actually something refreshingly unpretentious about it. The building itself isn’t trying to be some flashy resort, which honestly works in its favor. It feels more like a well-run European hotel that just happens to be a five-minute walk from one of Montenegro’s best beaches.
The location is pretty clever when you think about it. Bečići is far enough from Budva’s old town chaos (we’re talking maybe 10 minutes by car) that you can actually sleep at night, but close enough that you’re not stuck if you want to grab dinner at one of those seafront places everyone raves about. I mean, the beach here is legitimately gorgeous – that fine sand that doesn’t stick to everything, water that’s actually swimmable. What I really appreciated was how the hotel sits back from the main coastal road just enough to cut down on traffic noise, but you can still hear the waves if you get a sea-facing room. The staff seems to know their stuff too – they’ll tell you which beach spots get crowded (basically everywhere after 10 AM in July) and where to park in Budva without getting towed.
Here’s the thing about four-star hotels in this part of Montenegro – some are trying way too hard, others feel like they’re coasting on the scenery. Swiss Holiday falls into this comfortable middle ground where everything just… works. The rooms are clean without being sterile, the breakfast has local touches alongside the standard European spread, and honestly, the whole vibe is more “I’m staying somewhere nice” than “I’m being marketed to constantly.” That 8.2 rating makes sense when you’re actually there – it’s not perfect (the elevators are a bit slow, and good luck getting hot water if half the hotel showers at once), but those are the kind of minor annoyances you forget about when you’re sipping coffee on your balcony looking out at the Adriatic. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the coast anyway, this is exactly the kind of place you want to come back to at the end of the day.
Budva’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Mediterranean charm and modern comfort, with many featuring sea view terraces and traditional Montenegrin hospitality.

Very Good Room was clean, breakfast was good. Location was not so good, there was no problem because of we rented a car. The hotel has a Turkish restaurant, we didn't have dinner but we had a breakfast and we're so glad to had a breakfast. Hotel and restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. If you have a car, dont worry for parking. The hotel has a free parking.
What could be improved: The balcony was very small. It would be good, if there was Budva city map and a to do list in the room.
Wonderful Had a lovely stay, amazing location.
Very Good It was easy to reach, just a few km from Budva. It was great to have a possibility of self checking in. Room clean and comfortable. A great breakfast.
What could be improved: No member of staff could speak a local language. The room was literally next to the reception desk, so it felt there was a lack of privacy.
Wonderful Ali is the friendliest Hotel owner ever.
What could be improved: The service for the breakfast would be better without cell phone
Wonderful We got a better room than we expected.
The staff was really helpful and kind.
The hotel has a restaurant for dinner/lunch.
The breakfast was great.
What could be improved: In the room there were not glasses to drink, but after we had asked we got.
Wonderful The staff were excellent and very helpful with lots of great information, the room was very clean modern and well appointed and the breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to start the day, all in all a great hotel and well worth staying.
Nice Location and clearness
What could be improved: There was completely nothing in the apartment: shampoo, soap, kettle, water. The room looked unfinished, some facilities didn’t work. Maybe it happened because of the season that just started, but they didn’t prepare the room for living properly.
We were happy to stay there. We liked the flat and the breakfast a lot.
What could be improved: The room was cıold.
Very Good Big room
What could be improved: No glasses
Very good accommodation Very spacious room, friendly stuff, good breakfast, and parking provided next to the hotel (in second half of September).
What could be improved: Bathroom was quiet small, there’s no elevator, but that wasn’t really a problem.
