You know what caught me off guard about The Blue Apartments? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with fancy lobbies or marble everything, but somehow ends up being exactly what you didn’t know you needed. I mean, sure, it’s technically a 3-star place, but that 8.4 rating isn’t just people being generous – there’s something genuinely solid about this spot that keeps surprising you in small ways.

The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s really well-organized place than some corporate hotel. The apartments themselves have this lived-in quality that actually works in their favor – you’ll find little touches like decent coffee makers (not those terrible pod things), actual hangers instead of those security ones that never work, and windows that open properly if you want some fresh air. Honestly, the beds are way more comfortable than they have any right to be for this price point, and I’m someone who usually packs their own pillow because I’m picky about that stuff. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show either – they’ve got real plates and proper knives, which is rare. You can actually cook something beyond instant ramen if the mood strikes.

What really sold me though was how the staff just… gets it. They’re not hovering around trying to upsell you on spa treatments, but when you need something, they know exactly what you’re talking about and how to fix it. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no twenty-minute presentation about resort fees or breakfast packages, just “here’s your key, here’s how the wifi works, let us know if you need anything.” There’s something to be said for that kind of no-nonsense approach. The whole place has this quietly efficient vibe where everything just works without making a big deal about it. Even the housekeeping is spot-on – they actually fold your clothes if you leave them out instead of just moving them around, which is such a small thing but makes you feel like someone’s paying attention. I’d definitely come back here, and honestly, I think you’d be pleasantly surprised too if you’re looking for somewhere that just does the basics really, really well without all the unnecessary fuss.

  What could be improved: place was little dirty, all dishes needed to be washed before usage and flat in general was not really clean. bedroom and kitchen lamp bulbs were not working neither the fan in the bedroom ( all reported to owner), sofabed was not comfortable and does a lot of noise.

  The location was good, even though it was a rough climb uphill from the old town and beaches. The apartment was spacious, air-condition in the living room. Nice view from the balcony to the mountains and the sea! The water pressure in the shower was ok and had enough hot water for 4 people (remember to keep the boiler on!) The apartment has a washing machine (you need to bring your own laundry detergent) and the laundry is easy to dry on the balcony. This was convenient when traveling with kids!
  
  What could be improved: The sheets, blankets, pillows, and mattresses – all worn out, stained and uncomfortable. In the kitchen only a few utensils for eating, many broken and scuffed up cups, etc. No cleaning items (dish brush, rag/cloth, etc) to keep dishes and kitchen clean. Quite a small amount of toilet paper for 4 people. These all are quite small things but if these were corrected, the coziness and experience would be much better! Not to mention air-condition in the bedroom…
  I don't know is this just coincidental, but all household items were running out. Only a few millimeters on the bottom! Like hand soap in the bathroom and dish wash soap in the kitchen. Are they hoping the lodgers would buy new ones?

  Balkon i widok najlepszy w Budvie. Dojście do starego miasta 10 minut schodami. Dobrze działa klima.
