Tucked away on Maksima Gorkog street, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Old Town walls, but far enough back that you won’t be dealing with the late-night party crowds stumbling around at 3 AM. I mean, you’ll still hear some distant music during summer nights, but it’s more like a gentle reminder that you’re in one of Montenegro’s liveliest coastal spots rather than an assault on your eardrums.

The location is what really makes this place special – Maksima Gorkog runs parallel to the main drag, so you get that sweet spot between accessibility and peace. Walk five minutes toward the water and you’re hitting Slovenska Beach (which locals actually prefer to the more touristy spots), or head the other direction and you’ll find yourself in residential Budva where the coffee costs half the price and tastes twice as good. The apartment itself has that lived-in feel that I actually prefer over sterile hotel rooms. Sure, it’s a 3-star rating, but the 10/10 guest rating tells the real story – this is the kind of place where someone clearly cares about the details. The furnishings aren’t flashy, but everything works, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and there’s actually enough hot water for a proper shower after a day at the beach.

What I love about staying here is how it drops you right into the rhythm of Budva life. In the mornings, you’ll wake up to the sounds of the neighborhood coming alive – not tourist chaos, but actual people heading to work, kids walking to school, that sort of thing. There’s a little bakery about three doors down (look for the blue awning) where you can grab burek that’s still warm from the oven, and honestly, that became my daily routine. The walk to the Old Town takes you past some gorgeous stone buildings that most tourists never see because they’re staying right in the thick of things. And here’s something the guidebooks won’t tell you – from certain angles in the apartment, you can catch glimpses of the Adriatic between the buildings, especially from the upper floors. It’s not a full-on panoramic view, but those little blue slices of sea in the distance? They hit different when you’re having your morning coffee. Plus, you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the cruise ship crowds that descend on Budva during peak season. I stayed here in late September and it felt like having the best of both worlds – still warm enough for swimming, but quiet enough to actually enjoy it.

Hotel in Budva booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally popular music festivals and beach parties.

  We had a wonderful stay at The View Apartment! The place is very spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything you need for a perfect summer vacation. The highlight for us was definitely the breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea, it’s truly something special to wake up to every day. If you are looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay, we highly recommend this apartment. The host family was incredibly helpful and caring, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
  
  What could be improved: If you have a car it will be a bit tricky to find a parking spot in the neighborhood.
