You know what struck me first about Tomy Garden House? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet stretch of Jadranski Put, which – if you’ve been to Budva – you’ll know is the coastal road that curves around toward Sveti Stefan. I mean, you’re literally a stone’s throw from that postcard-perfect island, but somehow the location feels refreshingly removed from all the chaos that usually comes with being near Budva’s main tourist strips.

The place has this unpretentious, family-run vibe that honestly caught me off guard. Three stars on paper, sure, but whoever’s been rating this place at 8.9 clearly gets it – sometimes the best experiences come from places that aren’t trying too hard to impress you. The rooms are clean and comfortable (nothing fancy, but everything works), and I actually loved how quiet it gets at night. You can hear the sea if you really listen, which is sort of magical when you’re drifting off to sleep. The garden area – and yeah, the name actually makes sense once you see it – has these lovely Mediterranean touches, lots of greenery that makes the whole property feel like a little oasis. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven around Montenegro’s coast will tell you is basically a small miracle.

What really sold me on this place though was the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re close enough to walk into Budva when you want that nightlife and restaurant scene – maybe 15 minutes if you don’t mind the stroll along the water. But you’re also perfectly positioned for day trips to Sveti Stefan (seriously, just down the road) or even venturing further down the coast toward Bar if you’re feeling adventurous. The staff seemed to genuinely know the area well – they pointed me toward this little local konoba that I never would’ve found otherwise. And honestly, for what you’re paying, especially during peak summer season when everything else near the coast gets ridiculously expensive, Tomy Garden House delivers way more value than you’d expect. It’s one of those places where you end up staying longer than planned because it just feels… right, you know?
