This place completely surprised me in the best way possible. It’s actually a proper 4-star spot that feels more like staying at your well-traveled friend’s perfectly curated apartment than some sterile hotel chain.

Walking into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lighting is warm instead of that harsh fluorescent stuff, and I mean, the whole vibe just feels… lived-in? Not messy, but comfortable. The staff genuinely seem to know what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, and they actually had useful recommendations instead of just pointing you toward the tourist traps. The rooms themselves are what really sold me though. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, from the way the bathroom door closes quietly (you don’t realize how much hotel door-slamming bugs you until you find a place without it) to the fact that there are actually enough outlets near the bed. The neighborhood around it has that nice mix where you’ve got proper local spots within walking distance, not just the usual chain restaurants that pop up around hotels. There’s this coffee place about two blocks over that the front desk recommended – definitely not somewhere I would’ve found on my own, but exactly the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re getting the real experience. Parking was straightforward too, which honestly, after dealing with some nightmare hotel parking situations, felt like a genuine luxury. The whole place just runs smoothly without making a big deal about it, which is probably why they’re sitting at that 9.4 rating. It’s one of those stays where you don’t have any dramatic stories to tell, but you find yourself booking the same place next time you’re in town because everything just… works.
