The moment I walked in, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like a friend was lending me their really well-designed place for the week. Sure, you won’t find marble lobbies or doormen in white gloves, but what you get instead is this perfectly curated space that feels lived-in without being cluttered. The kitchen – and I’m talking a real kitchen, not some sad mini-fridge situation – had everything I actually needed, including decent knives and proper plates. Small thing, but after staying in places where you’re eating takeout with plastic spoons, it matters. The Wi-Fi was rock solid too (I was working remotely part of the time), and the shower pressure was surprisingly strong. I’ve learned not to take these things for granted anymore.

What really sold me was the attention to details that most places completely miss. Fresh coffee in the kitchen when I arrived, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound weird – but the bed was at just the right height. Not too low where you feel like you’re sleeping on the floor, not so high you need a running start to get in. The noise levels were perfect too; you can hear just enough street life to feel connected to wherever you are, but it’s not keeping you up at night. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward small talk while they try to upsell you on restaurant reservations. They gave me the keys, showed me the important stuff, and let me settle in. I actually ended up extending my stay by two nights because, well, why mess with a good thing? If you’re the type who values having your own space but wants it done really, really well, this place gets it right in ways that surprised me.
