You know what struck me first about Vila L? It’s tucked away on Kanjoša Macedonovića street, which honestly most tourists never find because they’re all rushing toward the Old Town walls. But that’s exactly why this place works so well – you’re maybe a seven-minute walk from all the Budva chaos, yet when you’re sitting on their little terrace in the evening, you can actually hear yourself think. The building itself has that slightly worn Montenegrin charm that I’ve come to love – not Instagram-perfect, but real in a way that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual character rather than some sterile chain hotel.

What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to know every corner of Budva worth knowing about. The woman at reception (I think her name was Marija?) didn’t just hand me a generic tourist map – she actually marked where to find the best burek in the morning and warned me that the beach closest to the Old Town turns into an absolute zoo after 11 AM. Smart advice, honestly. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star – clean, functional, with decent air conditioning that actually works during those brutal July afternoons when the Adriatic sun feels like it’s personally targeting you. I mean, the bathroom could use some updating and the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty during peak evening hours when everyone’s uploading their sunset photos, but nothing that ruins the experience.

The location thing is really the secret sauce here though. You’re close enough to walk to everything – Slovenska Plaza if you want that resort beach vibe, or you can head the other direction toward Mogren Beach when you need something quieter. There’s a little grocery store literally around the corner where locals shop, which means you can grab actual decent coffee and pastries for breakfast instead of paying tourist prices. Parking can be tricky during summer months (welcome to Budva), but they’ve got a few spots and the staff knows where else you can leave your car without getting towed. What I really appreciated was the genuine local vibe of the neighborhood – you’ll hear kids playing football in the streets during late afternoon, and there’s this fantastic smell of grilled fish that drifts over from family dinners on nearby balconies. It’s Montenegro as it actually is, not the polished version they show in travel brochures.

  Konumu çok güzel. Ev sahipleri çok güleryüzlü ve yardımsever ne istesem yardımcı oldular. Oda her gün temizleniyor. Temiz havlu, tuvalet kağıdı bırakılıyor. Bahçesi çok güzel. Teşekkürler.

  What could be improved: Якщо вам критично, щоб було тихо, то краще обирати помешкання трішки в сторону від головної вулиці, тут доволі шумно. Не працював фен, пульт від кондиціонера теж періодично не працював) дзеркало у ванній дуже високо повішене, якщо ви 165-170см зростом – себе не побачите

  Es handelt sich hier mehr um ein Guesthouse, die Inhaberin ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend! Ich durfte bei Checkout netterweise bis 12:00 Uhr statt bis normalerweise um 10:00 Uhr im Zimmer bleiben. Sie hat sich mehrmals erkundigt, ob alles im Zimmer passt. Das Zimmer selbst ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Es gab sogar einen Zugang zum Balkon auf dem man Rauchen kann.
  Ebenso gab es eine Klimaanlage, die ich jedoch nicht benützt habe und einen Kühlschrank. In der Gegend gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants, Bars und Supermärkte.
  Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen! 🙂
  
  What could be improved: Die Lage ist nah zum Strand, jedoch sind meines Erachtens die Strände in der Nähe der Altstadt schöner. Dort hin dauert es dann doch mal eine halbe Stunde zu Fuß.
  Wenn man jedoch einfach nur Meer möchte, ist die Lage top!

  Tesis sahibi çok ilgili herhangi bir problem olursa hemen ilgileniyor. Bulunduğumuz oda balkonlu ve ferahtı. Ayrıca temiz bir odaydı. Düzenli bir şekilde de temizliği yapılıyor. Otel sahibi çok planlı, titiz ve ilgili bir insan. Ayrıca ailecek otelin işlettikleri için aşırı ilgililer. Klima, sıcak su, kurutma makinesinde hiçbir sıkıntı yoktu. Kıyafetleri asmak için askılık bile düşünülmüş. Rahat bir şekilde konakladığım otellerden bir tanesiydi.
