I almost walked right past it the first time – it’s tucked away in this quiet residential area that doesn’t scream “tourist hotel,” which honestly turned out to be exactly why I loved it. The building itself has this understated charm, sort of like staying at your well-traveled aunt’s place if she happened to have impeccable taste and actually knew how to run a proper hotel.

The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of calm that’s hard to describe. Maybe it’s the way the afternoon light filters through the windows, or how the staff genuinely seems happy to see you (not that forced hospitality smile you get at chain places). The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully simple – clean lines, comfortable beds that actually let you sleep in, and those little touches that show someone cares. The bathroom amenities aren’t fancy brand names, but they’re good quality, and honestly, the water pressure is better than my apartment back home. I mean, that 9.1 rating doesn’t come from nowhere, right?

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels authentic without trying too hard. The neighborhood around Villa Andrea is where actual people live and work – you’ll hear the morning sounds of the city waking up, but it’s never overwhelming. There’s a little café about two blocks down where the locals grab their morning coffee, and the woman who runs it makes these pastries that… well, let’s just say I had to buy new pants by the end of my trip. The hotel staff actually knows about places like this – not just the obvious tourist spots, but the kind of recommendations that make you feel like you’re getting an insider’s view of the city. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area (most guests end up using the public lot about a five-minute walk away), but that’s pretty typical for this part of town, and honestly, you’ll probably want to walk everywhere anyway once you get your bearings. Check-in was smooth, and they were flexible about letting me store my bags when I arrived early – those kinds of small gestures that just make travel easier.

  Everything was literally amazing! Hosts are genuine and nice people, really welcoming and always there for any help you need. The location is perfect! We truly felt like at home and we'll definitely come again!

  What could be improved: I am giving this rating because none of the agreed terms were followed. The apartment we booked through Booking.com had nothing to do with the studio we ended up in. The only option offered to us was to cancel, with the excuse that everything was fully booked. The studio was very small and cramped. We need to be very careful about what we view and book, as in this case, there was no connection between the listing and the actual accommodation. This was a very bad experience, so I will think twice in the future, as what is shown and what we receive can be completely different.
