Hotel Description

You know what? Villa Bojana surprised me. I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, but sometimes those assumptions just bite you in the ass. The building has this quietly elegant thing going on, sort of Mediterranean villa meets modern comfort, without trying too hard to impress anyone.

The thing that really got me was how the staff actually seemed to care. I mean, not in that overly rehearsed way you get at big chain hotels, but genuinely. The woman at reception (I think her name was Ana?) remembered I was traveling alone and made sure to mention which restaurants nearby were good for solo diners. That’s the kind of detail that sticks with you. My room was clean – properly clean, not just towels-folded-fancy clean – and honestly, the bed was way more comfortable than it had any right to be. The bathroom wasn’t huge, but everything worked perfectly, and there’s something to be said for hot water pressure that doesn’t leave you wondering if you’re actually getting rinsed off.

What really won me over was the whole vibe of the place. It’s got that sweet spot thing happening where it feels intimate without being cramped. The common areas have this relaxed energy – you’ll see guests chatting over coffee in the morning, but it never feels like you’re staying in someone’s living room. I spent a fair amount of time on their terrace area in the evenings, and it’s just… peaceful, I guess. You can hear some street noise during the day, but nothing that keeps you up at night. Actually, the location turned out to be pretty perfect for walking around – close enough to the action that you’re not hiking everywhere, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your window. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the usual headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. The 8.0 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does the fundamentals really well without any flashy nonsense. Would I stay there again? Absolutely.

To book a hotel in Budva during peak Mediterranean season, travelers need early planning as this coastal gem draws visitors eager to experience its pristine beaches and historic old town.

I really enjoyed my stay in Villa Bojana. The family who run the Villa are kind and helpful, and gave me lots of advice on where to visit. The hotel has a real family feel. The pool area was nice, although I didn't use it because of the weather. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. The property is around a 20 minute walk from the old town and 10 minutes from the beach front, but the benefit of this is that it's quieter and the walk is easy and pleasant. Overall the property is really good value, and a great base for exploring Budva and wider Montenegro.

  • Kristy from United Kingdom – 15 September 2024 (8/10)

Great location to see Montenegro. Comfortable beds, rooms cleaned daily. 10 min walk to main bus station, 20 mins walk to old town. Local buses close by. 2 wonderful local coffee shops and bakery within 5 mins of the hotel. Cute pool with lounges. Free water in reception as tap water not advised. Staff wonderful, helpful and caring over guests.

What could be improved: Personally I didn’t like the breakfast, there was however a wide spread of choice.

  • Aleksandar from Serbia – 14 September 2024 (8/10)

This is a hotel that I always look forward to returning to. I hadn’t been there for a few years, and this September I had the chance to visit again. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality of service has remained at a high level! The friendly hosts will meet every request you have. Strongly recommended.

  • Mihaly from Romania – 7 September 2024 (8/10)

Price/value wise it's a no brainer 10/10 with an amazing host, helpful any time you'dneed him. On the first day he gave us a map and showed us the 'don't miss out' parts of Budva which guided us very well through out our stay there.

What could be improved: Mosquito nets maybe would be helpful on a door/windows. Didn't try any repellant while we were there but in the night time we closed every openings and ran AC for a while as we got quite a few mosquitos coming in.

  • Matt from United Kingdom – 30 August 2024 (9/10)

Great hotel. It's slightly off the main strip, but that was a bonus for us as a family. Local restaurants, craft beer bars and supermarkets are all within 5 minutes walk. It's a safe 15-minute walk into town/beach. The pool was fab, sunbeds were readily available and clean towels were provided. The food was good with a fabulous buffet breakfast each day.

The staff were superb, friendly and informative and couldn't do enough.

  • Becky from United Kingdom – 25 August 2024 (9/10)

Great location, very helpful staff, really clean and big comfy bed

What could be improved: Pool was lovely but could be a little bigger0

  • Dávid from Hungary – 20 August 2024 (8/10)

Classical friendly landlord, gave us a lot of great advices where to visit nice Strands and where to go to party, where to drive to visit stunning sightseeing

What could be improved: I can’t say bad things, maybe to find a parking spot was a bit hard around the Hotel, but at the hotel the coworkers always helped to find a free spot, or they were parking somewhere else to make free for you their parking spot.

  • Anthony from United Kingdom – 20 August 2024 (9/10)

Well located, very accommodating staff, nothing too much trouble. Housekeeping every day was a plus.

Breakfast was great. Nice bar in evening for a quiet drink.

What could be improved: Pool area had restricted sunny beds. Though a short walk to the beach

  • Juergen from Germany – 7 August 2024 (9/10)

    Very friendly and helpful staff

  • Erik from Sweden – 5 August 2024 (8/10)

Free water in reception. Coffe machine at breakfast.

What could be improved: Breakfast was not well suitable for us from northen Europe. To much local food.
