First Impressions
Walking through the narrow cobblestone streets of Budva’s Old Town, you’ll stumble upon Villa Casa di Pietra – Budva Old town tucked away on Vrzdak street — and honestly, the location couldn’t be more perfect. This three-star property sits right in the heart of the medieval quarter, where ancient stone walls meet the Adriatic breeze. I mean, you’re literally surrounded by centuries-old architecture, yet everything feels surprisingly intimate and cozy.
The Old Town Magic
What strikes you immediately is how this place captures the essence of Budva without the tourist trap feeling. The villa blends seamlessly with the historic surroundings — you know what I’m talking about if you’ve ever wandered these ancient streets at sunset. Couples absolutely love it here (they’ve rated the location 9.9, which honestly makes sense), and it’s easy to see why. You can step out your door and be at a charming café in thirty seconds, or walk to the old citadel walls in about two minutes.
Your Home Base
The room I stayed in had that perfect balance of old-world charm and modern comfort — stone details that remind you where you are, but with all the amenities you actually need. The windows open to views of either the old town’s rooftops or glimpses of the sea, depending on which side you’re on. Actually, even the “lesser” views are pretty spectacular when you’re surrounded by medieval architecture. The space feels authentic without being cramped, which can be tricky in these historic buildings.
Living Like a Local
Here’s what I really appreciated — you’re staying in the actual Old Town, not some resort complex outside it. That means you get to experience the rhythm of local life, from the morning coffee culture to the evening strolls along the ancient walls. The narrow streets can get busy during peak hours, but early morning and late evening? It’s like having your own private medieval village. Plus, you’re steps away from some genuinely good local restaurants (not just the touristy ones), and the small grocery shops where locals actually shop.
Why Guests Love It
The location score of 9.7 isn’t just a number — it reflects something real about this place. You’re in the top-rated area of Budva, which means you get the best of everything without the hassle of commuting from somewhere less interesting. I found myself coming back to the villa throughout the day just because it was so easy to pop in and out. Whether you want to hit the beach (literally a few minutes’ walk), explore the fortress walls, or just sit in a café watching the world go by, everything radiates out from here. It’s that rare spot where the location actually enhances your entire experience rather than just being a place to sleep.

What Our Guests Say
Great location, was right in the old town and next to a great pasta place. Room was spacious and comfortable. Had a communal terrace and kitchen
The location is fantastic, within 1 minute walk of many great bars and restaurants in Old Town Budva. The host was very helpful/friendly with the airport transfer and recommended things for us to do in Budva.
What could be improved: Slightly dated facilities/decor but completely acceptable.
We highly recommend it!
The biggest advantage is the location - right in the center of the old town. Everything, including beaches, shops, and restaurants, is within easy reach. If someone values sleeping in complete silence, they might not find it here, but for us, it wasn't a problem.
Another advantage is the very helpful owners! They recommended beautiful places and gave us great directions, and the airport transfer was convenient!
What could be improved: The only remark is that the bedding and towels were slightly worn.
The Host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. She made it very easy to check in and organised a taxi for us to Kotor and back for a day trip. The location is great and right in the old town with the beach and restaurants very close by! The apartment is well air conditioned and has everything you need for a great trip!
The location of the hotel was very good and was in the center of the old town. The house was spacious and clean.
What could be improved: Since the house was on the last floor, it had no windows or balconies.
Excellent location within the walls of the Old City.Fairly quiet considering this is a major beach side tourist destination with plenty of night-life. Comfortable room with plenty of natural light and some views.
Aleksandra was super friendly and helpful at check in - made me feel very welcome!
What could be improved: Slightly worn around the edges but comfortable, clean, big and and in an awesome location!
Very central to old town and the beach
Very good location. Clean place. Good communication with owner.
Excellent location, clean and great communication.
Comfortable bed, amazing outside area, and a kitchenette available for use.
I'd definitely return, thank you.
What could be improved: Smell of cigarette smoke.
The velux windows had permanent coverings which blocked out the natural light. This would have been fine if I could reach to open but they were too high. Maybe a pole available for guests to open?
Brilliant to have a kettle and mugs in the room, a tiny amount of tea/coffee would have been ace (I'd happily have bought some but was only staying a night).
