First Impressions
When I first walked up to Villa Danile Cosy Apartments, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place — but this little gem completely changed my mind. The building sits on Primorskog bataljona street, and you know what struck me immediately? How quiet it felt despite being right in the heart of Budva. The entrance has this welcoming, residential vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than just another tourist apartment.
Location That Actually Matters
I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Budva, and location can make or break your trip — this one absolutely nails it. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Old Town walls, which means you can wander over for dinner without dealing with the hassle of driving or finding parking (trust me, that’s a nightmare in summer). The beach is close enough that you’ll hear the waves at night, but far enough that you won’t be dealing with the party crowds stumbling past your window at 3 AM. I mean, couples seem to really get this — the property has a 9.2 location score for good reason.
The Apartment Experience
The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for the price point. What I loved most was the little kitchen setup — nothing fancy, but perfect for making morning coffee or storing those amazing local cheeses you’ll inevitably buy at the market. The furnishings are simple but comfortable, and honestly, the air conditioning worked better than some four-star places I’ve been to. The bathroom was clean and modern, which — let’s be real — is sometimes hit or miss with apartment-style accommodations in Montenegro.
The Neighborhood Feel
Here’s something most travel sites won’t tell you: this area actually feels like real Budva, not just the touristy bubble. There’s a small grocery store about two blocks away where locals shop, and I discovered this tiny bakery that opens at 6 AM with the most incredible burek. The street itself is residential, so you get a sense of how people actually live here. In the evenings, you’ll see families taking walks and kids playing — it’s that authentic Montenegrin neighborhood vibe that’s getting harder to find near the coast.
Why Guests Love It
After spending several nights here, I totally understand why this place scores so well with visitors. It’s that sweet spot where you get independence and space without sacrificing location or comfort. The value is honestly impressive — you’re paying three-star prices but getting an experience that feels more personal and authentic than many higher-rated hotels. Plus, the owners clearly care about the details; everything from the Wi-Fi to the shower pressure just works. If you’re looking for a base to explore Budva without the tourist hotel atmosphere, Villa Danile delivers exactly what it promises.

What Our Guests Say
What could be improved: No parking
We liked the location of the apartment. The apartment is close to the Old Town. There is a supermarket located nearby. The host was very hospitable and always in touch.
The apartment was very spacious, clean, well-equipped (including basic kitchen supplies such as oil and salt for cooking) and centrally located at a 5-minute walk from the Old Town and Mogren beach in a nice quiet area.
Marina was an incredible host - she had beach towels for us, a beach umbrella, laundry detergent and was so helpful during our stay making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
We had a nice mountain sea view as well!
Beds were comfortable and ac worked wonderfully. We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Budva and will definitely stay here again in the future (hopefully return to Budva next year :)) There are so many great bars and restaurants in the old town to explore.
Lastly, when I left, I was travelling from Budva to Dubrovnik and had forgotten my jewelry box at the appartment. Marina went above and beyond to make arrangements with the ferry to ensure my jewelry was sent on the next ferry to Dubrovnik. I was able to receive my jewelry in the port that evening!!!
Thank you Marina for making us feel safe and at home :)
