You know what caught me off guard about Villa D&B? It’s tucked away on Kanjosa Macedonovica street – this quiet residential road that most tourists walk right past while rushing toward the Old Town walls. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute stroll from all the Budva madness, but when you’re sitting on their little terrace in the evening, you’d never know it. The street actually curves just enough that you don’t get the constant parade of people dragging suitcases over cobblestones at all hours.

The owners, and I’m pretty sure it’s actually D&B themselves, have this way of running the place that feels more like staying at your friend’s house than a hotel. They’ll remember your name after one conversation, and honestly, they know Budva better than most guidebooks. When I asked about avoiding the cruise ship crowds at Mogren Beach, they told me the exact time window when it’s just locals (early morning, around 7 AM, if you’re curious). The rooms aren’t fancy – this is a 3-star place, after all – but everything works properly, the AC actually cools things down, and the beds are comfortable in that firm European way. What really got me was the attention to small stuff: proper water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this might sound weird – but the WiFi reaches every corner of the property without cutting out.

Here’s the thing about location that nobody mentions in those generic hotel descriptions: Budva’s Old Town gets absolutely packed during summer evenings, but Villa D&B sits just far enough up the hill that you escape the restaurant noise and street performers. You can still hear the distant hum of nightlife if you listen for it, but you’ll actually sleep through the night. Parking’s not a nightmare either – they’ve got a small lot, and if that’s full, there’s usually street parking nearby (try the stretch toward the post office). The walk down to Slovenska Plaza takes maybe eight minutes, and you pass this little bakery that does incredible burek in the mornings. I found myself timing my beach trips around their fresh batches. Look, a 9.6 rating sounds almost too good to be true, but after staying here, I get it. It’s not about luxury amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies – it’s about getting the fundamentals right and having owners who genuinely care about whether you enjoy Montenegro.

  The host is really kind , show us where can we park the car , show us the top beaches around , clean our room when we were at beach.
  There is 2 monutes walk to Budva Riviera , 15 min walk to Mogren beach (super place but popular ) there is minutes by car Sveti Stefan beach that is also a super clean and calm water . There are lots of caffes , supermarket, bars and restaurants around the apartment .I recommend D&B villa , i will come back for sure .

  The apartment and the view were truly beautiful and very clean. The location is a bit outside the city center, but for me, that was perfect because of the peaceful atmosphere, and it's only about a 10-minute walk to town. I also found the nearby beach more beautiful and much quieter than Ulcinj's main beach.
  The host was extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely return to Ulcinj – and to this exact accommodation.

  The best hospitality experience ever. Thank you to the owner for the nice welcome! Room has everything what’s needed for a stay: cups, plates, shower gel, etc. But the best thing about it is the terrace with an amazing view! Apartment is close to the sea, and all cafes.

  First of all, I would like to thank the owner of the property, Dushka! Amazing person with kind heart! She helped us by cooking for us our meal, since there’s no kitchen there. And even put for us chocolates for tea🫶🏻❤️ small gestures, but happy souls! She explained us how to get to Sveti Stefan, that by bus it’s way more cheaper than by taxi. Next time definitely will come here again! The property was clean and 5 minutes away from the beaches.
