Here’s the thing about location that nobody mentions in those generic hotel descriptions: Budva’s Old Town gets absolutely packed during summer evenings, but Villa D&B sits just far enough up the hill that you escape the restaurant noise and street performers. You can still hear the distant hum of nightlife if you listen for it, but you’ll actually sleep through the night. Parking’s not a nightmare either – they’ve got a small lot, and if that’s full, there’s usually street parking nearby (try the stretch toward the post office). The walk down to Slovenska Plaza takes maybe eight minutes, and you pass this little bakery that does incredible burek in the mornings. I found myself timing my beach trips around their fresh batches. Look, a 9.6 rating sounds almost too good to be true, but after staying here, I get it.
