Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest with you – Villa Hera isn’t going to blow your mind, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. It’s one of those solid 3-star places that just gets the job done without any fuss or pretense. When I first walked in, the lobby had this sort of retro Mediterranean vibe going on, nothing fancy but clean and welcoming. The staff actually seemed to care, which you know, isn’t always a given at this price point. Check-in was smooth – no weird surprise fees or that awkward dance where they try to upsell you to a “premium” room that’s probably just facing a different direction.

The rooms are what I’d call comfortable without being Instagram-worthy. You’ve got your basics covered – decent bed, clean bathroom, air conditioning that actually works (thank god), and enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. I mean, the decor is a bit dated, sort of stuck in that early 2000s hotel aesthetic, but honestly? Sometimes I prefer that to these ultra-modern places where you can’t figure out how to turn on the lights. The shower had good water pressure – always a win in my book – and the WiFi was reliable enough for video calls, though it got a bit sluggish during peak hours. One thing that surprised me was how quiet it was at night. I was expecting some street noise or thin walls, but I actually slept pretty well.

What really makes Villa Hera work is that it knows what it is. The breakfast spread isn’t going to change your life, but there’s decent coffee and enough variety to get you going in the morning. The location turned out to be better than I expected too – you’re not right in the thick of tourist chaos, but you’re close enough to walk to the main attractions without your feet falling off. I noticed a lot of repeat guests, which usually tells you something. The 7.6 rating makes sense to me – it’s above average for what you’re paying, but it’s not trying to be something it’s not. If you’re looking for a place to crash that won’t eat your entire travel budget but still feels like a proper hotel (not a hostel or some sketchy motel), Villa Hera hits that sweet spot. Just don’t go in expecting luxury, and you’ll probably leave pretty satisfied.

You get what you paid for. Standart room not far from sea.

What could be improved: No private parking. You can park on the street around the block. Morning routine for most of the neighbours starts at 6-7 a.m so you don't get much sleep here.

What could be improved: No parking so this was the first thing and then the air conditionig stopped working and in the end was problems with hot water.

  • Anna from Hungary – 16 August 2024 (5/10)

Very kind people and the apartman was indeed clean. Good place near to everything, there is multiple shops available in close proximity.

What could be improved: No parking space. If you arrive with a car be prepared. I don't know why it is advertised as free parking space availabe at the apartment, while it is nearly impossible to park even in the same street as the apartment. The parking spaces in front of the apartment are indeed free, but there is so little space and so many apartments and cars that it is always on full, at least during summer for sure.
