You know what struck me first about Villa Jovana Sea View? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you, but somehow ends up being exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for. I mean, it’s a 3-star property, so you’re not expecting marble everything and champagne service – but honestly, that 9.1 rating makes perfect sense once you spend a day or two here. The sea views are the real deal, not some glimpse of blue if you crane your neck out the bathroom window. We’re talking proper, wake-up-and-there’s-the-water views that actually make you pause with your morning coffee.

The whole vibe is refreshingly unpretentious. Check-in was smooth (the front desk staff genuinely seem to care about your stay, which you don’t always get), and the rooms have this lived-in comfort that feels more like staying at a well-maintained family place than a sterile hotel. The beds are actually comfortable – I slept better here than I have at some supposedly fancier spots. What I really appreciated were the little things: decent water pressure in the shower, rooms that stay cool without the AC running constantly, and thick enough walls that you’re not hearing every conversation in the hallway. The housekeeping is thorough too, though they tend to come by pretty early if you don’t put the do-not-disturb sign out.

Here’s the thing about Villa Jovana – it gets the fundamentals right without any fancy bells and whistles, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The location works well if you’re looking to actually relax rather than be in the thick of tourist chaos. You can walk to some decent local spots for dinner (skip the hotel restaurant honestly, it’s fine but nothing special), and there’s enough going on nearby that you won’t feel stranded. Parking was surprisingly hassle-free, which anyone who’s driven around coastal areas will appreciate. The pool area is small but never felt crowded when we were there in shoulder season – though I’d imagine summer gets pretty busy. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind or give you Instagram-worthy lobby shots, but if you want clean, comfortable, and genuinely good value with those sea views thrown in, Villa Jovana delivers on what it promises. Sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that just do their job really well without any drama.

  The best place to stay in Budva! Apartment with the sea view is mind blowing ❤️
  It’s well situated and just 5 minutes away from the supermarket, 10 minutes from the Old town and all the attractions.

  Very affable host, speaks many languages, knows the town and provides useful advice. Less than 10 minutes walk from Mogren beach. Even closer to the Budva Center bus stop.

  The staff in here is very friendly. Rooms are nice and even if your room doesn't include balcony with sea view, there was common balcony, where you can enjoy the views. I recommend this place.

  The hosts are amazing. For the short time we were there, we really felt like home. They gave us some homemade cake, two times actually. It was so good! It's really clean and the view from the balcony is spectacular. I would recommend this place to anyone. The stairs are always a minus, but it's the Old Town of Budva, you should expect it.
