The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully comfortable rather than luxurious, and I mean that as a compliment. Everything works properly (the AC actually cools the room, the shower has decent pressure), but more importantly, there’s attention to details that matter – like proper blackout curtains for those bright Adriatic mornings and enough outlets near the bed for your devices. The balcony in my room had this lovely view toward the hills behind Budva, away from all the tourist chaos down by the beach. Speaking of which, you’re actually close enough to walk to the Old Town in about ten minutes, but far enough removed that you don’t hear the nightclub music that keeps half the beachfront hotels awake until 3 AM. The 9.3 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to compete with five-star resorts, but it absolutely nails what it sets out to do. You get that authentic Montenegro experience, genuine hospitality, and a peaceful base for exploring Budva without paying resort prices. Plus, there’s actually decent parking (trust me, this matters more than you think in Budva), and the family speaks excellent English if your Serbian is as nonexistent as mine was.
