You know what caught me off guard about Villa M&M? It’s one of those places that feels way more intimate than you’d expect from a 4-star property. I mean, with a 9.6 rating, I was prepared for something good, but honestly – this felt more like staying at a sophisticated friend’s place than a hotel.

The whole vibe is understated in the best possible way. None of that over-the-top lobby drama you get at some places, just really thoughtful touches everywhere you look. The staff actually remembers your name after day one (not just because they’re reading your keycard), and they seem to genuinely know the area inside and out. I had this random question about finding a specific type of local wine, and the front desk guy – without missing a beat – gave me directions to this little shop that I never would’ve found on my own. That kind of local knowledge is gold when you’re traveling.

What really gets me is the attention to details that matter. The rooms have this perfect balance of modern comfort without feeling sterile – you know how some boutique places try so hard to be trendy that you’re afraid to actually use anything? Not here. Everything feels lived-in but luxurious. The beds are legitimately excellent (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have those little extras like really good towels and shower pressure that actually works. Plus, and this might sound silly, but the lighting is spot-on throughout – not too harsh, not too dim, just right for actually reading or getting ready without squinting.

I loved how quiet it stays even when they’re busy. The soundproofing must be decent because I never heard hallway conversations or slamming doors, which honestly can make or break a stay for me. Check-in was refreshingly smooth too – they had everything ready, explained the local area without being pushy about it, and gave me this little map with their personal recommendations marked on it. Small thing, but it showed they actually think about what travelers need.

The whole place has this relaxed sophistication that’s hard to find – it’s polished without being pretentious, comfortable without being casual. You can tell they’ve figured out that sweet spot where service feels effortless but you know there’s real thought behind everything. I stayed during what seemed like a pretty busy period, and even then, nothing felt rushed or overlooked.

Look, I’ll be honest – I’m usually pretty good at finding something to nitpick about hotels, but Villa M&M just works. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay if you can swing it, and you definitely find yourself recommending it to people later. That 9.6 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense; it actually reflects what you get when a place focuses on doing hospitality right rather than just looking impressive.

  Perfect location, right near the Old Town, beach and a supermarket. The kitchen was very nice, and everything we needed was at the apartment. Perfect place to stay when on vacation in Budva.

  Nice little villa close to the city center and mogren beach. Little backyard with patio is available.
