You know what caught me off guard about Villa Old Olive? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – there’s this massive, gnarled olive tree right in the courtyard that looks like it’s been watching over the place for centuries. I mean, I’ve stayed at plenty of four-star places that feel cookie-cutter, but this one has genuine character.

The moment you walk in, you get that feeling like you’ve stumbled onto something locals have been quietly keeping to themselves. The lobby isn’t fancy in that marble-and-chandelier way – it’s more like stepping into someone’s beautifully restored home, complete with worn stone floors that have stories to tell. Honestly, the 9.6 rating makes total sense when you realize how much attention they pay to the little things. My room had these thick wooden shutters that actually blocked out light (you’d be surprised how rare that is), and the bed was one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re drowning in pillows.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere. The staff – and I’m not just saying this – genuinely seemed to care about whether you were enjoying yourself. The woman at the front desk remembered my name after one conversation and actually gave me useful restaurant recommendations, not just the tourist traps. She told me to avoid the breakfast rush around 8:30 if I wanted to enjoy my coffee in peace, which turned out to be solid advice. The morning crowd clears out pretty quickly, and then you’ve got the terrace mostly to yourself. That’s when you really notice details like how they’ve positioned the tables to catch the morning sun just right, or how the old olive tree creates these perfect pockets of shade later in the day. There’s something about sipping coffee under those branches that makes you want to extend your stay – which, honestly, I probably should have done. The whole place has this unhurried feel that’s hard to find these days, where you’re not constantly being sold something or rushed along to the next activity.

  Very quiet place surrounded by beautiful nature and with a fantastic view from the balcony. The villa is cozy and clean, equipped with everything you need. The host is friendly and nice. Thank you a lot!
  
  What could be improved: Location is not easy to reach without a car. The road to villa is steep and there were a couple of stray dogs on the way to villa. However it’s not a problem because there are plenty of taxi nearby.

  We had an amazing stay at the old olive villa, the owner was excellent and he was very helpful through out. The villa is very well equipped and very comfortable, the bed was very comfortable and the aircon needed as 36c during our stay. The pool was lovely for dipping into so would definitely recommend this villa, we went to to local bar around 8 mins away and walked to the bottom of the hill to the restaurant and bars. You will find a shop half down the hill and we loved our trip to skadar lake and visiting budva old town.
  
  What could be improved: It wasn’t a problem for us as we like walking the hill is a fair way if you like a beer and the evaporator for the aircon could be a little noisy at night

  Die Gastgeber waren außergewöhnlich herzlich und gastfreundlich. Willkommes- Obstkorb,Wasser,Wein und sogar Süssigkeiten fanden wir vor. Im Haus ist alles was man braucht – einzig Nachttischlampen wären noch gut gewesen- jedoch nichts das den Gesamteindruck und Komfort für uns beeinträchtigt hätte- tolles beleuchtetes Pool – einzigartige Aussicht – trotz hoher Lage – alles mit PKW gut erreichbar! Checkin unkompliziert – wir kommen gerne wieder.

  Doppelstöckiges Steinhaus mit kleinem Pool. Balkon mit Aussicht, mitten im Grünen, sehr ruhig, weit weg vom Chaos in Budva.

  без машины было бы слишком сложно, два километра от пляжа, но зато тишина и зелень вокруг.
  
  What could be improved: не очень удобно то, что наверху в одной комнате три спальных места : брачная кровать и односпалка, а внизу только диван, который не раскладывается. По моему мнению, брачная кровать-это для брачной пары и третья кровать в этой же комнате не имеет смысла. Но, мы все равно разместились и получили удовольствие от бассейна, тишины, воздуха. Хозяева живут за стеной в соседнем доме, но они были невидимы и мы почти не заметили их присутствия.
