There’s this little bakery called Pekara Centar about three minutes away where locals grab their morning burek – the owner’s wife makes the best cheese ones I’ve had in the Balkans. And here’s something most tourists miss: Villa Rihter is perfectly positioned for day trips. The family helped me figure out bus schedules to Kotor (skip the expensive tours), and when I wanted to hit Sveti Stefan beach, they called ahead to their friend who runs a taxi service. Saved me probably 20 euros and got insider tips about the best photo spots. That 9.5 rating isn’t inflated – it’s what happens when a place consistently does the small things right without charging resort prices. If you’re the type who values genuine hospitality over marble lobbies, and you actually want to experience Montenegro rather than just Instagram it, Villa Rihter gets it.
