Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Villa Sun Budva? It’s tucked away on this quiet little street called Babilonja – and I mean actually quiet, which is pretty rare when you’re this close to Budva’s old town madness. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, but sometimes those ratings don’t tell the whole story. The moment I walked in, there was this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. Not in that over-polished hotel chain way, but more like… well, like staying at your friend’s really nice apartment.
The staff here – and I’m usually pretty skeptical about this stuff – genuinely seem to know Budva inside and out. The woman at reception (I think her name was Marija?) didn’t just point me toward the old town, she actually told me which entrance to use to avoid the cruise ship crowds and when the best time is to grab coffee at that little place near Citadela without waiting in line. That’s the kind of local insight you can’t fake. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly – which honestly puts it ahead of some supposedly fancier places I’ve stayed. You can actually open the windows for fresh air instead of being stuck with rattling AC all night, and the beds are firm enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you slept on a marshmallow.
What really sets Villa Sun apart though is the location sweet spot it hits. You’re maybe a 7-minute walk to the beach (I timed it), but you don’t have the constant noise of people dragging suitcases over cobblestones at all hours. The 9.4 rating starts making sense when you realize it’s those little things – like how they actually answer the phone when you call, or the fact that there’s decent water pressure in the shower even during peak summer when half of Budva’s plumbing seems to give up. I stayed there in July, which is basically chaos season for Montenegro’s coast, and it still felt like a peaceful base to come back to after dealing with the beach crowds and old town restaurant hustlers. If you’re the type who wants to experience Budva but also wants to sleep at night, this place gets the balance right.

The room was very clean and comfortable, located almost in the city center, so that I walked only 10 minutes till the sea, and the host, Sinan, is very friendly, helpful and hospitable. I will surely come again!

Everything about the property was absolutely perfect. We felt just as comfortable as we do in our own home. During our stay, we enjoyed a truly relaxing and comfortable vacation. Every detail had been thoughtfully arranged, and everything we could possibly need was readily available. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful — it honestly felt like visiting a close relative’s home. Also, Budva is a great place to stay in this region with its convenient location and amenities. I highly recommend this place — you will definitely be satisfied with your stay!

perfect veri good hospitality – Serap from Turkey – April 24, 2025 (10/10)
The house offered excellent value for money. There were 12 of us, and we rented about 3 apartments. Every detail in each apartment was thoughtfully arranged. From a drying rack for your laundry to all the necessary kitchen equipment for cooking, as well as everything you might need in the bathroom—towels, extra duvets, a nice lighting system—and above all, a very clean villa, which made us really happy. We had a wonderful time and felt truly rested. The beds were very comfortable, and the owners were extremely understanding, helpful, and clearly good at what they do. For this reason, if we come back, we would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this place to all our friends. Thank you for all your efforts.
An amazing experience overall. – Miloš from Serbia – April 18, 2025 (10/10)
Sinan was very helpful. A kind and caring person.
One week stay in Budva – Kalina from Poland – May 4, 2025 (9/10)
My partner and I spent a week in Montenegro, and we were very happy with the place we chose to stay. It's in a great spot. It's close to the bus station, shops, and a bakery. It is about a 20-minute walk to the sea. The apartment had everything we needed. In the kitchen you can easily prepare simple meals. The bed was very comfortable. The host was very kind and helpful.
What could be improved: The room we ended up with had only one window in the main room, but considering the value for money, we were still very satisfied with our stay.
