So I stumbled across Villas Monte Hill during one of those “let’s just see what’s available” booking sessions, and honestly? It turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel a bit smug about your travel instincts. The place sits up on this gentle slope – hence the name, I guess – and you immediately get why they went with the “villas” concept instead of just calling it another hotel.

The whole setup feels more like staying at someone’s really well-appointed family compound than a typical tourist spot. I mean, you’ve got these individual villa-style buildings scattered around the property, which means you’re not dealing with those endless hotel corridors or hearing your neighbor’s TV through paper-thin walls at 2 AM. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s polished without being stuffy, comfortable without trying too hard to impress you with marble everything. What really struck me was how quiet it gets in the evenings. You know that specific kind of peaceful you only find when a place is designed with actual relaxation in mind, not just Instagram moments.

The staff clearly knows what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, none of that hovering-but-not-helpful energy you get at some places. And here’s something I appreciated: the grounds actually feel lived-in rather than sterile. There are these little pathways between the villas where you’ll spot other guests heading to dinner or coming back from whatever adventure they’ve been on, but it never feels crowded or rushed. The pool area (because of course there’s a pool) manages to catch the afternoon light just right, though I’d recommend grabbing a spot earlier in the day if you’re visiting during peak season.

Parking was straightforward, which might sound boring but trust me, after you’ve circled blocks in some destinations looking for a spot, you learn to appreciate the simple things. The whole place has this relaxed Mediterranean vibe going on – not in an over-the-top themed way, but more like someone just naturally created spaces that make sense for the climate and the setting. That 8.2 rating they’ve got seems pretty honest to me. It’s the kind of place where small details work in your favor: good water pressure, reliable Wi-Fi, breakfast that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. Nothing revolutionary, but everything done well enough that you’re not spending mental energy on what’s wrong or missing. I’d definitely consider staying here again, which for me is always the real test – not whether a place wows you once, but whether it’s somewhere you’d actually want to return to when you’re planning your next trip.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Budva at least two months ahead for major events like Sea Dance Festival, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near the beach.

  Nice panorama, nice host, good equipment, the pool was a pleasant evening relaxation with a view of the city at night.
  
  What could be improved: The last few hundred meters that lead to the apartment are quite rough and steep. I do not recommend using it with a weak car

  Puikus vaizdas į miestą ir į jūrą. Baseinas, nors nedidelis, bet atsigaivinti karštą dieną buvo puiku. Grilinimui visi patogumai. Visko pakako virtuvėje, galejome gaminti maistą. Puikus, lengvas bendravimas su šeimininkėm.
  
  What could be improved: Nepatogus įvažiavimas, kadangi nuomojomes dvi vilas, tai automobilio statymas prie antros vilos labai ekstremalus, labai stati nuokalnė. Arti judraus kelio, kuris labai girdisi, negali miegoti su atvirais langais. Vietom, reiketu daugiau priežiūros ar patvarkymo. Šalia kele nejaukumo nesutvarkytos neveikiančios vilos.

  Logement spacieux, l'intérieur est bien décoré et contient les équipements nécessaires.
  Echange facile avec Robin qui nous a remis les clés de la maison.
  
  What could be improved: L'accès à la villa est un peu délicat à un moment, mieux vaut avoir un 4×4 pour ne pas galérer.
  La piscine est malheureusement trop petite et située au dessous d'une forêt d'arbre qui empêche donc d'en profiter car il y'a des insectes partout.
