Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Vista Luna when I first pulled up to the Tre Canne building on that narrow street in Budva – you know how apartment hotels can be hit or miss. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. The two-bedroom setup is genuinely spacious, not one of those cramped European “apartments” where you’re bumping elbows with your travel companion every five minutes. I mean, you can actually spread out here, and there’s enough room in the living area to have morning coffee without waking up whoever’s still sleeping.
What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being right in Budva – and trust me, that’s saying something during summer when this place turns into party central. The building sits just far enough back from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with drunk British lads singing football chants at 3 AM (been there, suffered through that at other places). You’re still close enough to walk to the Old Town in maybe ten minutes, but you can actually get some sleep. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying longer than a few nights. I actually cooked dinner a couple times instead of eating overpriced tourist food every meal.
The whole area around Tre Canne is sort of this sweet spot – close to everything but not completely overrun. There’s a little market down the street where locals actually shop, not just tourists buying sunscreen and beer. Parking can be tricky (it’s Montenegro, what do you expect?), but the hosts were super helpful about where to leave the car without getting towed. What struck me most was how the place feels more like staying in someone’s actual apartment rather than a sterile hotel room. The furniture’s comfortable, there’s personality in the decor, and honestly, after a long day exploring Kotor or dealing with the crowds at Sveti Stefan, you just want somewhere that feels like home base. The fact that it got a perfect rating makes total sense to me – it’s one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises.
The luxury concierge service in Budva offers personalized access to private beaches, yacht charters, and VIP experiences in this stunning Adriatic destination.
