You know what struck me first about Vistamar Hotel & Apartments? The name actually makes sense – you really do get those sweeping ocean views that most places just promise in their marketing. I mean, with a 9.2 rating, I was expecting something decent, but honestly, this place exceeded what I thought a 4-star could deliver.

The whole setup is pretty smart, actually. They’ve got both hotel rooms and apartment-style units, which is perfect if you’re doing one of those longer stays where you want a proper kitchen but still want housekeeping to show up. The apartments have this lived-in feel – not sterile like some extended-stay places – with kitchens that actually have decent cookware (you’d be surprised how rare that is). The hotel rooms are more traditional but they’re done up with these warm, coastal colors that don’t feel dated or trying too hard. What really got me was the attention to small stuff – good reading lights by the beds, enough outlets where you actually need them, and bathroom mirrors that don’t fog up the second you shower.

The location thing is interesting because while I can’t pin down the exact street address, you can tell this place was chosen by someone who knows the area. It’s got that sweet spot positioning where you’re close enough to hear the ocean but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant foot traffic and noise that comes with being right on the main drag. Check-in was smooth – none of that “your room isn’t ready yet” nonsense even when I showed up mid-afternoon. The staff has this genuine local knowledge too, not just rehearsed recommendations. One guy at the front desk steered me toward this little seafood spot that wasn’t in any guidebook but was absolutely perfect. Parking was straightforward, which honestly can make or break a stay when you’re dealing with coastal areas where every spot is either metered or restricted. The whole place has this relaxed vibe – you’ll see guests hanging out on terraces with their morning coffee, and there’s usually a nice mix of couples and families without it feeling chaotic. I stayed during what felt like shoulder season and it was just busy enough to have energy but quiet enough to actually relax. That 9.2 rating isn’t just people being generous – this place genuinely gets the details right in a way that makes you want to extend your stay.

Hotel in Budva booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally popular music festivals and beach parties.

  Staff was very helpful. The room was clean and nice. I was able to see the sea from the balcony. The hotel itself is comfortable and quiet.

  A very positive experience. The nicest possible staff, attention, respect. The rooms are spacious, clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. The bedding smells good, the room is cleaned every day (perfect), towels are changed every day. The terrace is cozy, the air conditioning is ice cold, and it is multifunctional. Special thanks to the cleaning team, what they do is incredible. I can only recommend it!
  
  What could be improved: It is on a hill above the city, a bit isolated. This was not an obstacle for us, as we like silence, walking, and we were by car anyway.

  Our room was lovely and clean. The pool was so nice. Staff were very helpful. Overall the stay was very good, would definitely recommend. Breakfast options also looked very good however we did not try.

  Apartman je uredan i prostran. Osoblje je ljubazno, hrana odlična.
  
  What could be improved: Lokacija je loša. Mi smo išli pješke do plaže i zaista je neizvedivo za nekoga ko planira ići na plažu svaki dan. Ulice su uske i prometne, veliko je brdo za pješačiti. Do Starog grada je auto neophodno a parkinzi preskupi van hotela.

  Soba odlična, čisto, lijepo, udobno, osoblje ljubazno… Ma sve pet, osim lokacije… S obzirom da je ovo bio moj prvi posjet Budvi, i s obzirom da uopšte ne poznajem grad, to je detalj koji nisam saznala dok nisam došla da je Hotel smješten na vrhu velikog brda… S obzirom da sam invalid a u Budvu sam došla sa msločjetnom kćerkom i sa autobusom…. Bio je to problemčić za mene… Sve ostalo čista desetka!

  Nice, clean and well presented rooms. Air con worked well which is essential in the summertime heat! Staff were friendly and welcoming.

  The hotel is nice and very clean. The hotel staff is always ready to do everything to make your stay as good as possible. The food in the hotel restaurant is affordable, and the offer is diverse – from classic breakfasts to various pastas, burgers fish and meat – something for everyone's taste. The easiest would be to take a taxi to the beach and the old town, but don't worry, the ride only take few minutes, and the staff is always ready to call and arrange taxi for you.
