Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Walk to the Sea” in the name, I thought it was just another overpromising apartment rental. But this little one-bedroom on Primorskog bataljona actually delivers on that promise, and then some. You’re literally a three-minute stroll from Budva’s main beach, which means you can hear the waves at night if you crack the window open (though honestly, you might want to keep it closed during July and August when the beach bars get pretty lively until late).
The apartment itself is… well, it’s exactly what you’d want after spending the day exploring Budva’s old town or lounging on Mogren Beach. Nothing fancy, but everything works – and I mean everything, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed along the Montenegrin coast. The bedroom gets decent morning light without being too harsh, and there’s actually enough closet space for a week’s worth of clothes, which surprised me. The kitchen’s small but functional – perfect for making coffee and quick breakfasts before heading out. You know what I really appreciated? The shower has proper water pressure. Sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many coastal rentals mess this up.
What really sets this place apart is the location knowledge you’ll gain just by staying here. You’re on a quiet residential street that most tourists never find, but you’re still walking distance from everything that matters. The local bakery on the corner – I’m talking proper Balkan pastries, not tourist stuff – opens at 6 AM if you’re an early riser. And here’s something the guidebooks won’t tell you: there’s a little path behind the building that cuts your beach walk down to about two minutes, though it’s a bit steep coming back up. The parking situation is actually manageable here too, unlike closer to the old town where you’re circling forever during peak season. I stayed in September and found the whole area much more relaxed than the summer madness, but still warm enough for swimming. The rating of 10 might seem generous for a 3-star place, but honestly? Sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t eat up half your travel budget, and this delivers exactly that.
Apartments in Budva provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Montenegrin markets and cook with fresh Mediterranean ingredients.
