You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from White Bear Budva when I first walked up – I mean, it’s a 3-star place and honestly, the exterior is pretty understated. But here’s the thing about Budva: sometimes the best spots are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the street. This place actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The location is what really sold me on it. You’re close enough to hear the buzz from the Old Town (which, let’s be real, can get pretty wild during summer nights), but far enough away that you can actually sleep without earplugs. I stayed there in late June, and while the main strip was absolutely packed with tourists doing the whole party scene, White Bear felt like this little pocket of calm. The staff – and I’m not just saying this – genuinely seemed to care about making sure you had what you needed. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or anything like that. They even gave me solid recommendations for where to grab coffee that wasn’t tourist-trap expensive, which honestly saved me quite a bit over the week.

What I really appreciated was how the place felt… well, authentic, I guess? The rooms aren’t going to win any design awards, but everything worked properly – the AC actually cooled things down (crucial in Budva summers), the shower had decent water pressure, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. I mean, I’ve stayed at supposedly fancier places where half the stuff was broken or just for show. Here, it’s clear they focus on the basics and do them right. The cleaning staff was thorough too – I left my room looking like a hurricane hit it one morning, and came back to find it spotless. There’s something to be said for that level of consistency. Parking was never an issue either, which if you’ve driven around Budva in peak season, you know that’s basically a miracle. The whole area gets absolutely clogged with cars, but they’ve got their parking situation figured out. Walking to the beach takes maybe 10-12 minutes, and honestly, that little stroll through the neighborhood gives you a better feel for how locals actually live than staying right on the waterfront where it’s all hotels and overpriced seafood restaurants. You’ll pass by actual grocery stores, little bakeries where people grab their morning bread – that kind of thing that makes a place feel real instead of like a tourist theme park.

  Kiváló elhelyezkedése van a szállásnak, minden megtalálható a környéken (boltok, strandok, éttermek, szórakozóhely).
  
  What could be improved: A szállásadó a parkolásért külön díjat számított fel, ami a hirdetés szerint a szállás árában benne lett volna. A nappali tisztasága sem volt teljesen rendben.
