You know what’s funny about Apartmani Andric? I almost walked right past it the first time because it doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the flashier places in Budva. But honestly, that turned out to be exactly what I loved about it. It’s got this quietly confident vibe – like it knows it’s good without needing to prove anything to anyone.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and I mean actually spacious, not “European spacious” where you can barely fit your suitcase. The owner, who I’m pretty sure is part of the Andric family, genuinely seems to care about the details. Fresh linens that actually smell like they’ve been dried in mountain air, decent water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think in Montenegro), and kitchenettes that aren’t just for show. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because the local market is just a quick walk away, and there’s something satisfying about making coffee while looking out at the Budva landscape waking up. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building too – I know, basic requirement these days, but you’d be surprised how many places still struggle with this.

What really sold me was the location, though it took me a day or two to fully appreciate it. You’re close enough to hear the energy of Budva’s old town when things get lively, but far enough that you can actually sleep when you want to. I could walk to the main beaches in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if I stopped for burek along the way (which I usually did). The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where locals are going about their daily routines – kids playing in small courtyards, grandmothers hanging laundry, the kind of authentic slice of life that makes you feel less like a tourist. Parking was never really an issue, which anyone who’s driven around Budva in summer will tell you is basically a minor miracle. The building itself is well-maintained without being sterile, and the other guests I encountered were mostly the type of travelers who do their research rather than just booking wherever has the flashiest photos. It’s the kind of place where you settle in rather than just crash, where a three-star rating feels almost modest considering how comfortable and genuinely welcoming everything feels.
