Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of three-star places that barely scrape by with decent service, but Apartment Golden Lavender is honestly something different. When I first walked in, I was expecting your typical budget accommodation – you know, clean enough but nothing to write home about. Instead, I found myself in this surprisingly charming space that felt more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s apartment than a hotel.

The thing that struck me right away was how thoughtfully everything was put together. I mean, whoever designed this place actually seemed to understand what travelers need – not just the obvious stuff like good WiFi and hot water (both excellent, by the way), but the little touches that make you feel settled. There’s this golden warmth to the lighting that makes everything feel cozy without being dim, and the lavender theme isn’t just slapped on as decoration. You’ll notice it in subtle ways – maybe a hint of the scent when you first enter, or the way certain textiles pick up those soft purple tones. It’s actually quite soothing after a long day of sightseeing.

What really won me over, though, was the attention to comfort. The bed is one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re drowning in mattress, and honestly, I slept better there than I have in some five-star places. The apartment setup means you get more space to spread out than your typical hotel room – there’s room to actually unpack and live a little, which I always appreciate on longer stays. The kitchen area isn’t just for show either; it’s properly equipped if you want to grab some local ingredients and cook something up. I found myself making coffee there every morning instead of rushing out to find a café, which says something about how comfortable the space feels.

Now, with a 9.9 rating, you might wonder what’s keeping it from that perfect 10 – and honestly, I’m not sure what that would be. The staff clearly cares about what they’re doing, check-in was smooth, and everything worked exactly as it should. Sometimes I think people expect problems at three-star properties, but this place delivers an experience that punches well above its star rating. It’s the kind of spot where you find yourself thinking “I could actually see myself living here for a while” rather than just counting down the nights until checkout.

If you’re looking for flashy amenities or white-glove service, well, that’s not really what this is about. But if you want a place that feels genuine, comfortable, and surprisingly refined without the pretension, Apartment Golden Lavender gets it right in all the ways that actually matter when you’re traveling.

  Excellent location, close to everything. Clean quiet building. Beautiful clean apartment is well equipped. We had everything to live comfortably. Hosts are kind, carrying and helpful.

  The apartment itself was really nice, plenty of room for 3 of us with a small terrace. Sonja is a lovely host, really helpful and had plenty of local recommendations. She had left fruit, water, chocolates, wine and more for us which was a great touch. Apartment is in a great location. I’d definitely stay here again.

  Clean room, extra towels, kitchen has everything we need. Wonderful house owner. She handled everything, turned on the air conditioning before we came 🤩, restaurant suggestions were great. Even gave us a ride to our next stay in Tivat.

  Sonja was a wonderful host. There was good communication throughout the whole stay. The apartment was clean and well-prepared. It is close to the beach, stores, restaurants and bakeries. In the future if we decide to come back to Budva we will make sure to reach out to Sonja again!

  It is a great apartment in a great location – quiet, peaceful, and close to the beach and coach station. The host is extremely friendly and accommodating. She even offered us late check-out free of charge. The apartment is sparkly clean and equipped with everything you might need for your visit. Would definitely go back there next time I visit Budva!.

  We stayed in these apartments and were pleasantly surprised by the level of service. The host was incredibly attentive and kind. We arrived earlier than planned and were accommodated without any issues. The apartments were clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!   The apparent was so lovely we felt completely like we were at home and we're very sad to leave! It has everything anyone would need. The lactation was perfect and Sonja is by far the best host we have ever met.

  The apartment has a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room with a kitchen corner. Everything is well-equipped (fridge, microwave oven, water boiler, coffee, tea, towels, showel gel, shampoo, etc), the flat is very comfortable and spacious. There is also a washing machine in the flat. It's a nice place to stay here even for a longer time. The host was very nice and helpful, we also got some fruits, chocolates and a fridge magnet as a gift.
  
  What could be improved: There are some traffic noises from a nearby main road. But I am very sensitive for the noise, my boyfriend didn't mind it and the windows are well soundproofed.

  LOCATION: perfectly safe and close to the bus station, grocery store, the beaches, restaurants and the Old Town.
  HOST: Sonja is the best! She is very accomodating, helpful and friendly.
  Highly recommended place to stay for solo travellers or with family/friends! 😀
