You know what really struck me about Mena apartmani?
You know what really struck me about Mena apartmani? It’s tucked away in this residential area called Velji Vinogradi that most tourists never even hear about, honestly – and that’s exactly why it works so well. When I first pulled up to number 30, I’ll admit I was a bit confused because it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside. It’s more like staying at your Montenegrin friend’s place, which turned out to be absolutely perfect for what I needed.
The thing about this spot is that you’re maybe a 10-minute walk from all the Budva craziness, but when you close your apartment door at night, you actually get to sleep. I mean, anyone who’s tried to stay right in Old Town during summer knows what I’m talking about – the party literally never stops. Here though, you’ll hear some local life during the day (kids playing, neighbors chatting), but it quiets down beautifully in the evenings. The apartments themselves are… well, they’re honest 3-star places. Nothing Instagram-fancy, but everything works, the beds are comfortable, and there’s actual counter space in the little kitchenette. I appreciated that the bathroom had decent water pressure – you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue in this part of Montenegro.
What really won me over was how the owner, who lives nearby, actually seems to care about the place running smoothly. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward “where do I even go” confusion you sometimes get with apartment rentals. And parking – God, parking in Budva can be a nightmare – but there’s usually space right outside or very close by. The location is brilliant if you think about it strategically. You’re close enough to walk to Slovenska Plaza when you want that beachy scene, but you can also easily get to some of the quieter spots along the coast without fighting through the Old Town crowds. I found myself taking this little path down toward the water that cuts through some olive groves – probably saved me 15 minutes each way compared to the main tourist routes. For the price point, especially during peak season, it’s honestly hard to argue with a 9.1 rating. Sure, you’re not getting luxury resort vibes, but you’re getting a clean, functional base in a neighborhood where actual Montenegrins live, which felt way more authentic than those massive hotel complexes closer to the center. If you’re the type who wants to experience Budva without being completely consumed by it, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.
Hotel in Budva booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally popular music festivals and beach parties.

Exceptional Budva old Town bölgesine yürüyerek 15 dakika . Plaja 3 dakika .
Staff were good and a central place to stay A good place to stay. Away from the madness of the main tourist spot and surrounded by decent bars and restaurants.
We had a problem with the fridge but that was sorted in a reasonable time
What could be improved: The bed was topped with some kind of foam/sponge topper. The outside furniture was poor and it can be noisy with selfish guests coming back at 4 am
Perfect place to stay in Budva, great staff and comfortable rooms. Great location right down the road from supermarket and beach. Aircon was powerful and much much appreciated. When the power went off in the night, staff were around to provide us with a night light and fan in the morning
What could be improved: Can be quite loud but not too bad
Pleasant Quick check-in, position in the main street and convenient to both beach and restaurants/clubs, private parking.
What could be improved: Wi-Fi not working most of the time, on the second night an electric blackout burnt all our mobile chargers and A/C didn't work anymore. Bathroom is very small
Exceptional Wonderful, clean, great location, wonderful people, we will come again for sure.
Wonderful The room was big enough. Everthing was clean. Location is the. Close to beach
Exceptional Preubavi apatmani, odlicni domakini golema preporaka! Blisku do stariot grad!
We had a pleasant stay at Mena. We enjoyed our stay at Mena appartement. The hosts were very kind and friendly and the bed was comfortable.
What could be improved: The tap water in the kitchen was cloudy and seemed dirty (the host said it was because of the amount of chloor).
Amazing value for money Walking distance from promenade to old town
Own parking space
Little kitchen area
Lovely and helpful host
